This is an interesting division because like Co-Ed, you have one team that is maxing out and the others are not. Carrollton is the only team that maxes both standing and running. Which I think makes them the "best chance" at this point of the season. Plus their routine has been tweaked a lot and I watched the Youtube video from Northgate and was very impressed. Very clean. In order to max on standing, everyone knows you need 3 fulls (cartwheel, standing, or BH entry). Cartersville and Carrollton do this based on most recent videos I have seen. Veterans and Whitewater do not based on most recent videos. In order to get a 6 DOD in running, you have to have at least 4 girls throwing a full and then at least 10 girls (because all are squads of 16) throw RO backhandspring back tucks, layouts, or specialty passes. Knowing all teams throw 4 fulls this is the breakout. Carrollton has the 10 girls that perform the 6 DOD skills. Cartersville only tumbles 7 girls with the 6 DOD minimum which would put them at a 5. Veterans has only 4 girls that tumble at a 6 DOD level which would put them at a 5 as well for running. And Whitewater has 13 girls (so they are one short) that tumble at a 6 DOD level which would give them a 5.
Carrollton should have a 6 on standing and 6 on running
Cartersville should have a 6 on standing and 5 on running
Whitewater should have a 5 on standing and 5 on running
Veterans should have a 4 (they have a standing and a series but same girls does both) on standing and 5 on running.
They all max out on Stunts, Jumps, and Pyramids. So if all teams hit, that's why I would give Carrollton the nudge at this point. Interesting stuff here though because it relies on the judges to really use their eyes and get the call right. Which has been a challenge in the past. Great teams though and fun to watch.
