State predictions
« on: October 29, 2016, 11:15:54 PM »
We're a few weeks away now...what is everyone thinking about state?? Who is going to stand out in the new 6 a and 7a divisions? (I say "new" because so many teams moved up to or out of 6A and 7a is brand new).

6A- Northgate seems to be far ahead of the pack. I would look for Creekview and Cambridge. Allatoona looks good and I have not seen Effingham but they seem to be pretty well.
7A- I assume Lambert and South Forsyth will likely contest for the tile again. East Coweta could sneak into the Top 4 as well with Lassiter,Archer, or West Forsyth.

I think it's safe to say that in most of the divisions there about around 3-4 teams that could win depending on how they perform on November 12th.

1A- Trion, Commerce, Hawkinsville
1A private- Mount Paran or Hebron Christian
2A- Coosa, Armuchee, Vidalia
3A- Pierce County, Pike County, Calhoun, Southeast Bulloch
4A- Cedartown, Lagrange, North Oconee
5A- McIntosh, Whitewater, Ola,  Starr's Mill, Carrollton
6A- Northgate, Effingham, Cambridge, Creekview, Allatoona
7A-Lambert, Lassiter, South Forsyth, West Forsyth
Coed- Mill Creek, Johns Creek, Milton, Apalachee

Any of these teams could win their divisions.

I agree! Any of these teams can win their divisions depending on their performance on that final day!

I heard Ringgold beat Calhoun this past weekend at Daltons spooks and spirit competition, so they should be considered.

Coed is always another fun division to watch.  Thinking this year it's going to be a real battle between Johns Creek who has always done extremely well at State and now Mill Creek as well.  Either of them I see as potentially winning if they hit.  Apalachee has become a team to watch as well and they have the potential to winl.  Haven't seen Milton yet so I didn't comment on them but excited about this weekend and next!

Has anyone seen southeast bulloch recently? I can't find any videos of them at all.

Both of these teams will be exciting to watch for sure. Both teams max everything and hen some. Effingham has that full up to heel stretch that is pretty impressive- never seen anyone do that before. This is an exciting division!

Shocked to see Effingham get 4th.. I know they had the girl touchdown on standing tuck at beginning of routine but that's really the only mistake I saw... I feel bad for those 9 seniors on the team.. I know they really wanted it

Without the touchdown they would have probably been 2nd just because it was at the beginning, that's what hurt them. But nobody could beat Northgate. And Cambridge deserved 2nd and creekview 3rd because they hit. I think Effingham is proud of 4th because they weren't perfect. I would be.
